Previous PDFs Released!

Today, the funds arrived from Kickstarter! This means I started commissioning new artwork and I sent download links for the PDFs from our two previously published books to backers who pledged for them.

An email (or more, depending on your pledge level) from DriveThruRPG should have been sent to the email registered to your Kickstarter account.

• All backers should have received an email containing a free checkout link for the Quickstart Guide to Legends of Avallen, plus our LoA- and 5E-compatible prologue adventurers, Caer on the Borderlands.
• Backers who pledged for Legends of Avallen should have an email containing a free checkout link for the Legends of Avallen PDF.
• Backers who pledged for Against the Faerie Queene should have an email containing a free checkout link for the Against the Faerie Queene PDF.

Progress Update

In the two weeks since this campaign funded, we've done a whole lot of stuff! 

• Scheduling & Budgeting (boring but important)
• Agreeing contracts with artists
• Creating art briefs (Ever Stranger, Pen Levi lands, and the Ever Father's Fae) 
• Writing Faeseeker lore and abilities for the Godling of Tricks and Their Court of Pebbles

Last week, I introduced Kurt to the master sheet that plans out the content for the entire book! That video is up on YouTube now. The video from our most recent stream will be available Monday the 23rd.

There won't be any streams for the next two weeks as we take a break for Christmas and New Years! You can expect us back on the 9th of January, with the following YouTube video on the 13th.

MAGFest!

I am attending MAGFest in Maryland in January! MAGFest is an awesome con that celebrates the fusion of music and gaming for a four-day party extravaganza. We will have a stand at the MAGFest Indie Tabletop Showcase (MITS), so if you're going, come by and say hi!

Thank you again for all of your support. Your belief in our project has us humbled and grateful, and we will work diligently to deliver a book that is as fun to play as it is to read!

Final Stretch Goal

In the closing hours of the campaign, we are happy to say we managed to hit our £55k stretch goal to add another legendary artifact to our trove of relics, Arto's Adder Stone. The Ever Ones smile upon us this day, and this adder stone will no doubt make it easier for us to peer into the Otherworld to better understand their will. 

What happens next?

We're going to begin work immediately! Starting with all the post-Kickstarter campaign logistics, and followed by:

• Beginning to commission illustrations with artists
• Preparing content for playtests
• Keeping you updated on our progress here

PDFs

It can take up to 3 weeks for Kickstarter to process the funds for us. Once they have come through, we can set up download links for the Legends of Avallen, Against the Faerie Queene, and Caer on the Borderlands PDFs. However, this may coincide with the Christmas period. I’ll do my best to get them to you while juggling turkey and family, but it may have to wait until January. I’ll keep you informed.

Legends and Heroes

For those of you who backed us at the “Hero’s Set” and the “Legend’s Set” tiers, a special thank you. We will be in touch soon to discuss the character you want to create for A Faeseeker’s Guide to Avallen! We are very excited to collaborate with you!

Fulfilment

Once the book content is ready for production, we will send you a backer survey through BackerKit. It is through the backer survey that you will give us your shipping information and pay any shipping fees. This is also when you get to add on additional items or item bundles to your pledge!

So keep an eye out on your inbox and on this update page!

Late Pledges

We have enabled late pledges on the Campaign for now. Late pledges don’t have the same discounts and deals as backers did and will not receive the commemorative Faeseeker Pin with a physical pledge. However, late pledges still get discounts compared to retail prices, can access all add-ons, and will get their rewards fulfilled before our retail release.

Communication

We will provide regular updates through Kickstarter AND our Twitch/YouTube streams/videos.

You don’t have to keep up with everything, but we will make sure to title IMPORTANT updates with “IMPORTANT” in the subject line. Those updates include important information about fulfilment.

Please read "IMPORTANT" updates to ensure your rewards are delivered to you in a smooth and timely manner.

£50k Stretch Goal, Buggane Uncaged! + New Stretch Goals & Minis!

Stretch Goals!

With a little over a day left in the campaign, we’ve hit another stretch goal! Welcome the Buggane from Manx folklore to A Faeseeker’s Guide to Avallen’s bestiary, and let’s hope your heroes learn all they can ahead of time to give them the edge they need when facing this ferocious hunter head on.

We can now reveal our two next stretch goals! First, a new legendary artifact which our game studio is especially fond of: Arto’s Adder Stone, a mystical rock which belonged to a fallen Druidic order that allows its user to peer through the veil and see the unseen...

And then, the largest of our bonus character options: we will introduce a whole new faction to character creation in the book, allowing you to create detailed citizens of the Empire with our Raxian origins and feats!

We're really hoping to reach this one! So, if you haven't already, consider sharing our project with like-minded folk and communities to help us reach this milestone!

Miniatures Highlight!

I've had numerous people ask if they can have a closer look at the incredible adventurer and fae minis we have on offer! Here you are!

Faeseekers Collection

Our Faeseekers collection of five gorgeously sculpted minis includes a hero from each of our five Clans of Avallen. From left to right, they are a:

• Pen Afanc {a-vank} Fae Touched
• Pen Levi Woad Raider
• Pen Cawr {cow-oor} Druid
• Pen Baedd {buyth} Wild Mage
• Pen Draig Warrior.

The minis have a standard 25 mm base size and are made with injection mold printing, ensuring both high fidelity and high quality. 

Fae Collection

Our Fae collection of fantastically sculpted minis includes a faekin from each of our five Faerie Courts. From left to right, they are a:

• Morgen of the Court of Secrets, a mermaid of aid or a drowning siren.
• Ellyll of the Court of Petals, an elven protector or a fierce dryad of the forest.
• Coblyn of the Court of Triumphs, a guide underground or knocker of cave-ins. 
• Gwyll of the Court of Shadows, a wisp of light at night or haunting ghost of doom.
• Bwbach {boo-bach} of the Court of Games, a friendly brownie or a tricksy puca!

These minis have a variety of base sizes from 20 mm to 35 mm depending on fae and are also made with injection mold printing, ensuring both high fidelity and high quality.

Each printed mini collection comes with their STLs and is available as an add-on to all physical reward tiers. Both are already included in our Collector's Set reward tier.

Final Stretch Celebration Pin!

This gorgeous metallic enamel pin features a beautiful depiction of the Ever Mother, our Vallic goddess of nature, tradition, and the Faerie Court of Petals.

Around the edge of the pin are the words "Faeseeker of Avallen" to commemorate your support of this campaign, as well as Ogham script for the word "Faeseeker". Ogham is a fascinating and wonderful Irish writing system found in Celtic stonework in Ireland, the West of Wales, and a number of other locations across Britain.

We hope you enjoy this literal token of appreciation! Additional "Faeseeker Pins" are available as an add-on for £15 if you wish to have more than one or gift a pin to someone else.

We have had requests to include the physical book for A Faeseeker's Guide to Avallen as an add-on, so that people can order extras as gifts or bulk buy and share shipping costs with friends. We think this is a great idea and have just included it.

Finally, I want to shout out all the lovely folk who came by and talked to us at Dragonmeet! It was really wonderful to feel in person your appreciation and passion for Avallen and all things Celtic.

A Faeseeker's Guide to Avallen is promised to be packed with excellent origin feats for heroes of all kinds of backgrounds! Now, our community is on the hunt for the the Buggane {boo-GAIN}... but tread quietly lest this fell creature decides to hunt us back! 

Fychan Lore+Digital Token GOAL UPDATE!

As you saw in our previous update (Update 6), we have a community goal of reaching 1750 combined followers! As of this post, we are currently at 1582 followers... that's a net gain of 50 followers in just one day! WOW!
